Montgomery County Democratic Committee

The Montgomery County Democratic Committee (MCDC) works to elect top quality candidates for County, State and Federal offices. We are a grassroots organization, with members representing each of the districts within Montgomery County, Virginia.

MCDC holds regular organizational meetings as well as social events, including our major fundraiser each year, the Fall Dinner.

Of course every year is an election year in Virginia, so we are always helping with campaigns at some level. Please join us at our next event!

MCDC Reorganization Meeting Scheduled

Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 4 at 10am! The biennial reorganization of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee will take place at the Montgomery County Government Center, 755 Roanoke Street in Christiansburg.

There are numerous leadership opportunities available. Committee officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) and committee members and alternates will be elected. All Montgomery County Democrats are welcome to participate.

Virginia Democratic Party Jefferson-Jackson (JJ) Dinner to
Feature Gov. Brian Schweitzer

MCDC has reserved a table at the upcoming DPVA JJ Dinner on Saturday, February 11th at the Richmond Convention Center. This annual event is the primary fundraiser for the VA Democratic Party and is usually a sell out. In the past, we've been treated to speeches from Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, and many others. This year's special guest is Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer. You may remember, Governor Schweitzer was one of the speakers at the 2008 DNC in Denver and he really got the crowd going. This promises to be a great JJ Dinner.

Save the Date - March 3rd - Mark Warner Fundraiser

On Saturday morning, March 3rd, Senator Mark Warner will be in Blacksburg for a fundraising breakfast. Mark your calendar now! Invitations will be sent via e-mail within the next few days. Space is limited and RSVP's will be necessary.
