About Montgomery

County Democratic Committee

We are committed to building a stronger, more inclusive community by advancing Democratic values and empowering voters to support candidates who reflect our shared values through grassroots organizing, voter engagement, and community partnerships.

The Montgomery County Democratic Committee (MCDC) is committed to building a community in which every resident is able to thrive. We work to serve our fellow citizens and elect Democrats who will support our communities, from our county to our country.

We work to register voters and help them make their voices heard, while turning out strong support on Election Day. We actively support Democratic candidates through phone banking, text banking, postcard writing, canvassing, and fundraising, and work to identify and encourage qualified candidates to run for office. Beyond elections, we hold elected representatives accountable and ensure they stay connected to what matters most in the community. We partner with like-minded community organizations, engage neighbors in meaningful conversations about important issues, and support local efforts to strengthen the community as a whole.

MCDC believes in democracy, ensuring every eligible citizen has a voice and a vote, and in equity, striving for a community where all residents have the opportunity to thrive. We support economic opportunity through policies that give everyone a fair shot, and advocate for universal access to quality, affordable healthcare. Committed to environmental stewardship, we work to protect natural resources for future generations, while also championing quality education that prepares every child for a full and productive life. MCDC holds its elected officials accountable to the people they represent, and fosters a spirit of community by showing up for neighbors and working toward the common good. We embrace inclusion, welcoming everyone and celebrating diversity as a source of strength, and believe that an informed, civically engaged community is the very foundation of democracy.
